You can use the ribbon cable from 016 to jam into the available MTA plugs. The easiest way to make sure that the little beaks make contact with the ribbon cable is to use the MTA tool which you can laser cut on some 1/8 inch acrylic. Lay the ribbon cable down along the groove, place the MTA plug on top and squeeze the whole thing with a bench clamp. Make sure you get the orientation of your plug right-- the 2/4/6 wire MTA plugs are rotationally symmetric.
If you don't have time to make the MTA part or you're trying to use some other plug, you can also just squeeze in the cable with a little screwdriver.
If you're looking to make the programming cables for the Hello boards, check out Steve's page for how to connect them.
